He knew that Brahman is bliss. For truly, beings here are born from bliss. When born, they live by bliss. And into bliss when departing, they enter.
-- Taittiriya Upanishad 3.6.1
The face of truth is covered with a golden disc. Unveil it, O Pushan, so that I, who love the truth, may see it. O Pushan, the sole seer, O Controller, O Sun, off-spring of Prajapati, spread forth your rays & gather up your radiant light that I may behold you of loveliest form. Whosoever is that person (yonder) that also am I.
-- Isha Upanishad 15-16
I have overcome the whole world. I am brilliant like the Sun. He who knows this, knows the secret wisdom.
"Understand then, all of you, especially the young, that to want to impose an imaginary state of government on others by violence is not only a vulgar superstition, but even a criminal work. Understand that this work, far from assuring the good of men, is only a lie, a more or less conscious hypocrisy, and is always hiding the lowest passions: vanity, pride, & self-interest, under the guise of dedication to mankind . Understand it, you, men of tomorrow, and stop looking for an illusionary happiness in creating people's welfare by participating in the administration of the state, by judicial institutions, by instruction, by entering institutions (schools & universities)where you are perverted, by joining all kinds of parties who have the welfare of the masses as an aim. Pay attention to only one thing, that which you need the most, that is the most accessible, which gives the most happiness to us and to every one: the increase of love in us by the eradication of the mistakes, vices and passions that keep it from manifesting itself.
Understand that the observance of this supreme law of love is becoming as inevitable for us as is the law of flight for the birds, the law of nutrition by plants for the herbivorous, by meat for the carnivorous; and that consequently, the least transgression of this law is disastrous to us."
-- Leo Tolstoy
"This is the ultimate object of our existence, that we must ever know that 'beauty is truth, truth beauty'; we must realize the whole world in love, for love gives it birth, sustains it, & takes it back to its bosom. We must have that perfect emancipation of heart which gives us the power to stand at the innermost center of things & have the taste of that fullness of disinterested joy which belongs to Brahma."
